As Stegu says, The News Picks was a big part of my following Groklaw. But overriding all that was the quest for truth and sanity in the IP Law, and a belief in PJ's commitment and goals. alas the commuity was a big part of it all. However, I can't do cold turkey. I see that someone is still updating the News Picks on Groklaw, and PJ has "apparently" updated the last article with Mr. Schneier's 5 tips.
Now we are all left with lesser alternatives to the reporting of these important cases, that were a big part of the Groklaw following and New Picks.

Now come the days when we shall all miss the open and even handed truth dispensed by PJ. The /. reporting on this is so badly slanted it make me want to scream. I wonder how much the fine would have been had Goggle gone for the Bench trial. Still it was a forgone conclusion for any Groklawite. Motorola, not Google, since Google was not a party to this lawsuit, was facing an uphill battle in enemy territory. The ruling by this judge will clearly not stand on appeal, and if they do, you'll see every tech coming pull their patents out of these pools at the earliest opportunity.
Cry Havoc, and let loose the Dogs of War!
These Fools know not what peril they are inviting.
It will be a patent Bloodbath.
Which might wind up bringing an end to Software Patents. If so good riddance, but MS and Apple will still be the losers no matter the outcome.

I dread saying that its time for us all to move on but we must; it is after all what PJ wants. I have not heard anywhere that PJ wants us to move on. In fact she has expressed her deep concern that there is a grokthelaw spin-off. She worries for our legal welfare, that we may do something to get hurt, because we aren't trained in the law and may not have some legal eagle such as herself to protect us. Also, she's worried about our privacy. A concern that has strong foundation based on the TOU on this site. I'm not happy about this sites TOU, and not even sure why I agreed to them (water under the bridge).

Perhaps it is just me affected, but it seems as if all comments have been shut off on Groklaw. I went to post a reply to a comment, forgetting I was not logged in, and it returned me to the main page. So I logged in and tried again. Same result. So I assumed PJ had banned me. But being the geek I am, I had to test whether it was an IP block or an IP + user block or both or neither. Just because I like to take things apart and see how they work, not to do an end run around PJ. I wouldn't have posted, if I was certain PJ was blocking me. PJ, got a little peeved at me for a thread I was partaking in. It was an interesting subject to me, even though started by some creep who's been out of PJ, I gather for some time. It was a purely philosophical matter to me. But I digress. So I tried from an entirely different network . One I've never connected from, or at least I'm fairly sure I have not. Anyway, same response, So, I think the comments are shut down. But someone else might want to try and confirm. PJ hasn't said I've been blocked, and I can still log in, and I'd expect I wouldn't be able to, were I blocked. Which is what led me down my investigative rabbit-hole. So I can't confirm or deny I've been blocked from posting, and or whether the comments aren't working (either by design or other reasons).
