See what Robert Scoble thinks about Apple's current situation, Windows Phone, and Google Glass IMO, I think most people that know what they are talking about will agree with Scoble with regard to Windows Phone.

I saw an article last week about ms giving away their surface tablets to schools in exchange for promising to use bing as the primary search tool... well if you can't sell them to people who want them, give them to people who cant afford anything else and in exchange, force them into using a service no one wants to use while you're at it.

i agree... i don't think they've even expected a re-trial. they've just been building a case for the appeals.

I would like to create an "Encryption and Security" board for PGP keys thread, tutorials, how-to's, etc. I will do so this afternoon, unless there is a serious objection. If you need it, i can help this weekend. i have some spare time sunday. just let me know if you need anything in particular

The only reasons I have against it are because (1) we've already been asking people to come here from Groklaw.net so it could be confusing if there is another new site and (2) some people who have already gotten accounts here may not want to pack up and 'move' again. Hoewever, if it is a big enough deal to everyone, then we can certainly discuss alternatives.

I was thinking that it would be worth having a kind of semi-static "current status" page for the major cases giving a brief summary of the story so far so people just arriving can come up to speed quickly. i like it...

I created a "Woodlands" Theme. It's not exactly the same but its intent is to imitate the default theme on the old site. I thought it might make it feel a little more like home. If you'd like to see another GL theme ported over or if you have any suggested changes to this theme or if, they are certainly welcome. You can change your theme by navigating to: Profile > Edit Profile > Settings > Forum Theme ... and now the "Groklaw Blue" theme is available. again, not an exact copy, but it's close

Well, the "Preview" button isn't working for me. The mouse hover event just show "javascript.void(0);" If you are referring to the preview button at the bottom of the "create post" box. that is the default selection. By default, you type in a WYSIWYG editor (what you see is what you get). So it's like using microsoft word to type your posts. You can switch to BBCode (Bulletin Board Code) which is what Groklaw was set to by default.
