Isn't that how Groklaw originally got its following? A lot of people read /.
I found this via google "Groklaw replacement" which linked me to a site that I also read that mentioned this place.

Sure do, but might it be better if the founder of this site mentioned it to them? If we want to build a relationship with users. Although PJ never approved slashdot about Groklaw, someone else posted it.

I have a slashdot account...I joined /. only a few months before I joined groklaw as a member. I'll change my signature and post a journal entry...it'll be a tough sell with no PJ, though.

Well, then the question is why have them join.
We are not doing too much as this point.
I always thought this site was a stopgap until someone was able to set up something better.

If it did't appear that the timeline for someone setting up something better was St. Swithen's Day (alternatively known as the 5th day of never), I'd say there isn't a reason to have them join.
We are definitely not doing too much at this point, *but* we have established that we have a core of people willing to return, link to articles, and discuss things a little, at least. That's better than nothing at all.

If this site gets highlighted in /. or some other tech/legal site, it can get mentioned on Wikipedia's "Groklaw" article. As it stands, looks like someone tried to add it and it was removed for various reasons (that I sort-of agree with). But if it's mentioned in third-party location, then it seems like it would meet the external-links/sourcing requirements.
