Isn't Quinn the one who consistently mis-reported SCO shenanigans in the various SCO vs world suits?

There is so much else happening right now. There is much censorship by Google, Twitter, Facebook and endless lies from main stream media.
Numerous mass-mailers are refusing to send email for groups that seek to counter the lies that are being pushed on the US public.
As much as I hate Google, I do want them to win against Oracle so that software interfaces will not be locked up.
I tried to visit the old Groklaw site and if I am not mistaken, it is no longer there. I had planned on slowly siphoning off my old comments from there, but I guess I waited too long.

There are days when I think .... everyone who cares about the SCO case will die before the case itself ever will. If the case dies and nobody knows ... is it really dead? If the case is still going, and nobody who cares is alive anymore ... is that case really alive?
Perhaps as long as there is even one greedy ignorant business man left alive who wishes to monetize Linux with Unix, the SCO case will never die. May it only live on in the tiny little cold black hole in what is left of that persons heart.

Also doesn't say much about Samsung's lawyers, if they couldn't arrange to do what swmech suggested. Seems to be the poor obvious design patent equivalent of all the <any old thing> "on the internet!" patents we had to deal with.

Don't worry too much about sounding like a luddite. You are in good company. Sometimes the people who are most resistant to certain new things, are that way not because they are ignorant or just being stubborn, but because they actually know what is really going on.
I am quite aware of how reliable drive-by-wire can be. I also know that auto-makers are unwilling to spend the extra (in materials and engineering effort) that would actually be required to make it more reliable than mechanical systems. As a result, I am unwilling to drive any car that uses drive-by-wire.

Even if it is too late for IBM to sue over SQL API use, Google can point out in their defense that Oracle has benefited from the same sort of behavior (using others pre-existing APIs) that they are trying to sue Google over.

Having IBM sue Oracle for SQL API use would be brilliant. I hope someone from IBM legal either thinks of that or reads it here.

If you could provide links to the prior version of the document as well, then there is a better chance someone might do the comparison you desire.

And I sincerely hope that THIS will be the year (2018) that SCOG's fraudulent case against the world is finally dispatched never to return again in any form.

I am torn between two desires. One is the desire for this whole charade to finally be done, and the other is for SCOG to be thwarted in whatever they attempt. The only way to deny SCOG in this request to NOT have a rehearing, is for IBM's request to be granted.
